Most of our puppies are shipped to their new families. My puppies are so well travelled in their crates, by the time they leave for their new family, they just think
they're going on another car ride. Their cabin is air pressurised and temerature controlled. I fly with my dogs to dog shows in the US
and a few times to the Westminster Kennel Club dog show in New York when my kuvasz were specifically invited by the WKC to attend. I have even flown with
one of my Champion kuvasz to Sweden, and with her puppy back to the US 2 years later. Both flew smoothly just as if they were flying domestically.

The airline employees enjoy when I have puppies to ship, many come over to pet the puppies and hold them. Puppies typically arrive at their destination clean and happy to see their new family.
If traveling by air to their new home would be less time in a travel crate than driving, it is probably less stressful for a puppy or dog to fly to their
new home.
For an 8 week old puppy flying in a standard small size crate: Add $300 in addition to the purchase price for transportation by air freight. This price includes
the required health certificate and shipping crate on all airlines except NorthWest Airlines. Your puppy will arrive in a hard plastic kennel that you keep and own.
For older puppies or dogs shipped in larger kennels it typically will cost $400-500 depending on the kennel size and size of the dog.
We can plan all of the arrangements that are best for the puppy or dog.
People flying in to get their puppy will pay shipping fees themselves and will need to bring a soft crate for in cabin or hard crate for excess baggage.
Average excess baggage fee for puppy flying with person on flight is $75 to $300 per way depending on the airline. AKC endeavors to maintain a current list

For puppies going to Hawaii, view Hawaii's new quarantine laws to have your 10 month old puppy within 5 days of
being shipped to Hawaii. Due to the minimum amount of time needed to prepare a puppy to meet the requirements of the 5-Day-Or-Less program, a puppy will be
about 10 months of age by the time the preparations are completed. Puppies not able to meet all of the requirements for the 5-Day-Or-Less program will be
quarantined for 120 days.
We will only export dogs if the buyer is able to pick up the dog in person and fly with the dogs. For US export information: USDA-APHIS import/export shipping regulations
