We had our last planned kuvasz litter in 2010, and are referring our puppies looking for puppies to breeder: Glacier Creek Kuvasz.

Both the sire and dam of all puppies bred at Mattiaci have been selected
for their excellent temperaments they not only possess, but produce. Our dogs
are in the house and travel with us, so they must be easy to live with and
be good ambassadors of the breed. The primary purpose, no matter how famous a show
record they have, is to be my pets and perform their natural guarding abilities.

Kuvasz shed, they guard by BARKING, and they require a fenced yard.

All puppies are socialized with children and other dogs before they leave for
their new families. They are not socialized with cats. Our puppies are outgoing
and confident from our every day lifesyle and work we do with them. A well
socialized puppy makes the transition to thier new families much easier on both
the puppy and new family. By the time they join thier new families, they are crate
trained and started on basic manners.

Although it has been touted that 7 weeks is the best age for puppies to join
their new families, our experience has shown no benefit for that age vs. other ages.
We do so much work with our puppies, they fit well into their new homes even if
kept here for boarding to a later age, with no "bonding" or training defecit.
Puppies are available to leave for their new families after 7 weeks if being driven,
and after 8 weeks if flying.
All puppies and dogs are sold only to lifetime homes where they will be an indoor
family member. A lifetime of seeing only the backyard with little human contact, is not the life
for one of our dogs. I am always available to my puppy buyers for behavioral and prefer they consult
with me first for and training and behavioral advice as I have often have experience from past
puppies and dogs. All puppies and dogs are non-transferrable unless they are
returned to Mattiaci -- at any time in the life of the dog. Life situations can change, divorces
unfortunately happen. I want to know that my dogs are always in a lifetime home where they are
happy and loved. I also like to hear of any health issues that have arisen during the dogs'
life, no matter how trivial they may seem.

Kuvasz are guard dogs, highly intelligent, and bred to think on thier own. It is best
that the head of the household be gently established -- and we do recommend that it be you.
Puppy socialization classes are best, and taking your puppy everywhere with you (after age
appropiate vaccinations are finished) is the best for teaching manners and daily life skills.
Air conditioning in warmer weather is a must, and they prefer to be cool anytime over being too warm.
